Not gonna lie, Far Cry 5 kind of sucked : r/PS4. I loved the story, I REALLY loved the story. But the gameplay was just so damn lackluster no more hunting animals to craft new weapons, money is practically useless, the weapons are lackluster and has little to no diversity from one another, silencers have literally zero effect. 9. Dead Living Zombies - 5 I really hated this one. The driving mission was ok, but the rest are incredibly tedious, especially the roof top defence mission. Zombies are the worst enemies, the stories aren’t interesting, Guy Marvel’s voice actor does a great job but I just don’t care about the character. 10. Overrun - 4 Also the worst part of every Far Cry game I've ever played has been the boss fights, and so Far Cry 5 adds more boss fights than any game in the IP before it These are mostly drug based Lady Comstock type affairs, or they're a boring ass plane fight The kidnappings were the worst. The don't even work properly. 3 times I was taken while - Far Cry 3 was not a stealh game. It was an option to choose. Unfortunately, if you chose to be stealthy, the game constantly dropped you into missions, where you had to slaughter a full army of pirates in Rambo style, alone, or with one companion; without proper cover or strategy.
It’s just a bad Far Cry game, kind of like how Fallout 4 is a good game, just not a good Fallout game. FC6 felt more like it was trying to be a Just Cause game than a Far Cry game. If you play the other Far Cry games, they’re going to feel a lot different in terms of tone, and slightly different gameplay wise. 1.
Far Cry 2 bears the distinction of being one of the most challenging games in the entire series. This is one notoriously brutal game, from start to finish. It was unapologetic in how it handled everything from mission objectives to the menu system. You were literally on your own, and it was up to you to figure things out.
