After converting you could export the image with File > Export. The best part is you get to choose the image format you like. The file uses swatches, thankfully. So I painted each swatch into a Photoshop file and used its much more robust Convert to Profile feature to convert those swatches to CMYK. I am hoping to preserve as much of the saturation and contrast as possible. Before. After. It's definitely losing something in the conversion, which is unavoidable. .
