Ok the anti pollution light comes on when a fault is detected and dependent on the fault that is detected it can limit power output as you are seeing .switching off the ignition is just making the car forget that its seen the issue .the first step here is to get the car plugged into a scan tool and see exactly what it is that the car is seeing .cam timing errors are common .thanks for choosing

Fault Code U1218. I have had the engine warning light on my Peugeot 307s 1.4 05plate with the message 'Anti Pollution Fault' for almost a year with no loss of power or anything, drives perfectly but now its soon MOT time (The issue started soon after I moved house and started filling up at Morrisons instead of Tesco, if that has any relevance.)

Have a 59 plate C3 Picasso and this message appears when ignition turned on then disappears. Not sure if car has DPF Only done 15k when bought last year but since then have done another 15k Any thoughts on whether have DPF and what fault message is

Inlet pressure 2.22 Bars. 1005 posts · Joined 2014. #16 · Jun 8, 2017. its the camshaft dephaser solenoid that needs swapping first on the intake side under left of the air filter housing (under 1 hour job) the other quote you had was for the camshaft dephaser sprocket/cog/pulley, this is a bigger job, but 9/10 it will be the solenoid at fault, held in by one 10mm bolt. .
