Odyssey can run fine without a frame limit and hits 120FPS for me in interiors like caves. I can't imagine the engine somehow runs way worse on

Its was a great game, personally I think Origins was still better but it was the first to implement the new game changes/mechanics and the Egyptian setting was dope. So in terms of Odyssey, I do see some people sleeping on it but overall I think its right where it should be. Same here. Origins #1, Odyssey close second.
Odyssey is better, but not because they get rid of everything wrong about Origins. Odyssey is better because it doubles down on everything and actually makes it work. It's got a complete lootershooter style gear system, with massive build variety. Combat is also more engaging with new abilities to use and better enemies. The game is way too big and filled with grindy shit. Origins by default is more interesting since it's in Egypt, you have the piramids, and a mistique to it. You use a man that acts like a man on every occasion. It's shorter but pretty much has all the aspects that odyssey has minus the dumb shit.
In particular, Black Flag > Unity > Syndicate > Origins > Odyssey form a natural progression to what we have now. I do think that they should try to bring back some old elements into the new formula: Social stealth, for example, could be handled much better with the new gear system. I liked Origins but have never had the urge to play it, whereas I've replayed 3 three or four times. I think Origins is better than AC3 remastered. Origins. Better story, better combat, better world, & better protagonist. The one thing AC3 does better is better antagonists with Haytham Kenway & Charles Lee.
Gave me a 5-8 FPS difference into the intro area. Not sure about the rest of the game. Some people report that optimization isnt good in this game, though they have released a patch (1.0.2) and plan on a second one soon (1.0.3) Running pretty much the exact same as Origins fps wise on my system which hasn't changed.
